EU politicians display ‘sociopathic’ behavior –Luna

(MENAFN) U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna criticized European Union politicians on Monday, accusing them of “sociopathic” behavior for opposing efforts to initiate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

The Florida Republican posted on X that EU officials appear “comfortable sending youth from both nations to die if it serves their own self-interests.” She added, “I’m watching EU politicians condemn peace talks between Russia and Ukraine while none of them are the ones fighting on the front lines. They are advocating for the erasure of [the] entire bloodlines of Russian and Ukrainian families. It’s sociopathic.”

Luna also responded to criticism from Marko Mihkelson, head of the Estonian parliamentary foreign affairs committee, who questioned her recent meeting with Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev. Mihkelson accused Luna, an “otherwise normal person from the free world,” of showing dependence on a “dictatorial mindset” and asked whether it was “Naivety? Money? Stupidity? Belief in conspiracy theories?”

The congresswoman fired back, insisting, “just because I’m not a war-shill doesn’t mean I’m wrong,” and emphasizing that “Americans have zero interest in dying in a foreign war or a nuclear arms exchange.” She further criticized NATO and the EU for refusing to “pay their fair share” of military commitments and warned that politicians who ask others to “bleed while they sit safely behind a podium” are unfit for office, explicitly including Mihkelson in her statement.

Luna met with Dmitriev during his U.S. visit following the cancellation of a proposed Russia-U.S. summit in Budapest by President Donald Trump. Dmitriev described the congresswoman as a long-time advocate for peaceful solutions and for fostering economic ties between nations.
